What is TradeLab?
What is TradeLab?
TradeLab is a free practice mode where you trade real historical market scenarios with the outcome hidden, so you can build skill without risk and without an entry fee.
Where a tournament is a live, competitive session, TradeLab is the training ground. It is built for repetition: short, self-contained scenarios you can run again and again to sharpen your judgement.
How does a TradeLab session work?
- Plan. You are shown a historical scenario up to a point in time and set up your trade — entry, target, and stop.
- Play out. The scenario plays forward in real historical price action. You manage the position as it moves.
- Result. The session resolves and you see how the trade did and how the decision is scored.
Why are outcomes hidden?
Because a chart you already know the ending of teaches you nothing. Hiding the outcome forces a genuine decision under uncertainty — the real skill of trading.
Hidden-outcome scenarios use real past market data, but you do not know which slice it is or what happens next. That keeps every session an honest test of judgement rather than recall.
How does TradeLab build my rating?
Every TradeLab session updates your TradeScore — the practice-mode skill rating that feeds into your overall Sivex Rating.
That means practice is never wasted: each session moves a real number. See the Sivex Rating for how TradeScore and tournament performance combine.
TradeLab is free, with a set number of sessions a day on the Free tier. The Sivex Pass removes the daily cap. Open TradeLab.
Common questions
- What is TradeLab?
- TradeLab is Sivex Play’s free practice mode. You trade hidden-outcome historical market scenarios — real past price action with the result concealed — so you can build and test trading skill without an entry fee and without risk.
- Is TradeLab free?
- Yes. TradeLab is free, with a set number of sessions each day on the Free tier. The Sivex Pass removes the daily limit for unlimited sessions.
- What is a hidden-outcome scenario?
- It is a real slice of historical market data presented without telling you what happened next. You plan a trade, play the scenario out, and then see the result — so you are tested on judgement, not on memory of a known chart.
- Does TradeLab affect my rating?
- Yes. Every TradeLab session updates your TradeScore, the practice-mode skill rating that feeds into your overall Sivex Rating.
